Elite Chemicals Pty Ltd was established in 1977 to develop, manufacture and market a specialised range of maintenance chemical products, and to provide the most professional service possible to meet the demands of Australian Industries.

In December 1990, the company was successfully assessed for its Quality Assurance System and our name is now listed in the Standards Australia register Licence No. QEC0460, for Quality Systems in accordance with ISO 9002:1944 AS/NZS ISO 9002:1994.

The company has successfully fulfilled its ambition to provide quality controlled, professionally presented and economically competitive packaged maintenance products to local and export markets involved in the catering, Accommodation, Cleaning, Food Processing, Swimming Pool, Laundry, Transport, Engineering & Beverage Industries. To facilitate service to our various customers, depots have been established throughout Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.

Elite Chemicals is Queensland's largest manufacturer of Sodium Hypochlorite and is also actively involved in Hydrochloric Acid, Food Grade Brine and Caustic Soda production. Our manufacturing facility is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The company's bulk distribution system consists of 6,000ltr, 9,000ltr, 12,000ltr 20,000ltr bulk road and rail tankers, some of which are based at our depots and offices in Cairns, Townsville, Bowen, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Sydney and Adelaide. Elite's production plants have the capacity to manufacture in excess of 80 million litres of Sodium Hypochlorite, 10 million litres of Hydrochloric Acid and 1 0 million litres of Caustic Soda 30 % per annum.

The company operates throughout the various states of Australia and exports to a number of overseas countries including United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, New Caledonia and Vanuatu, as well as maintaining close technological affiliations with many companies throughout the world. Our Quality Assured laboratory and technical expertise is of continued support to our manufacturing, sales personnel and our valued customers.

In 2005, Elite Chemicals was purchased by General Electric and forms part of their Water & Process Technologies division. GE Water & Process Technologies, a unit of GE Infrastructure, is a leading global supplier of water treatment, wastewater treatment and process systems solutions.
